Whether it’s playing an Yngwie Malmsteen guitar solo, training for a marathon or learning a fourth language, a good challenge is what I live for. I find design to be the greatest challenge of all, and beyond the act of assigning form and function, I seek to understand art, technology and the human condition. To me, more than a means to the end of self-expression, design is a selfless act of objective interpretation, understanding and anticipation.

After living and working in three different countries (Mexico, USA and Germany), I continue my journey towards becoming a citizen of the world, a jack of all trades and a master of some.

Every year Bosch challenges university students in Germany to create a vehicle powered by a Bosch battery drill and then race them in a final event. The Koeln International School of Design participated with two separate teams. With the help of its sponsors, KISD students developed two vehicles from concept to final product.
